In February 2023, a group of students from the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Technology of PULS was invited by the student organization of the hunters association Spolek Myslivcu at FLD CZU in Prague. The meeting aimed to exchange knowledge on managing wild game populations in the Czech and Slovak forests. The students met at the castle in Kostelec in Cernych Lesy for the theoretical part of the event, and the field part took place in the surrounding forests.
The opportunity to represent the university in the international arena was given to the following students: Michał Jessa, Kacper Lizakowski, Hubert Dydyński, Nikodem Nurczyk and Wojciech Kozak.
During the meeting, students had the opportunity to learn interesting information about the hunting economy conducted by our Czech and Slovak student hunters. Furthermore, the meeting allowed for exchanging knowledge and experience and resulted in starting cooperation and friendship.
