Course overview
The MSc programme in Wood Science is geared for students who have completed their undergraduate studies in Wood Technology or Wood Science or Forest Products Engineering and have obtained the degree of BSc in the mentioned studies or in related sciences. The programme lasts for three semesters (18 months) and starts in October. After completing the courses, presenting MSc thesis and passing the final examinations students receive the degree of MSc in Wood Science.
During their studies, students are offered lectures, seminars, labs and industrial traineeships. Apart from obligatory courses students may select from a number of electives. The course covers practically all aspects of modern wood science, providing students with the most up-to-date knowledge and gives students opportunities to enhance their knowledge and solve research problems. To add value to their studies students will be confronted with real-life case studies and learn about real challenges facing modern wood science.

Career options can include positions in forest products industry, companies cooperating with wood processing industry, research institutions and similar.
